
2024 Farmhands
Do you dream of starting a flower farm someday? Are you interested in hands-on experience? Beverly Blooms is looking for farmhands for the 2024 season in which you’ll work alongside Chase who will teach you by doing. This is not a classroom study but actual farm labor that will educate you on what it takes to grow your own flowers at a large scale!
Beverly Blooms is looking for a seasonal farmhand to assist with weekly farm tasks including:
Seed starting in March and April (optional, if you’d like to learn)
Row development - broadforking, weeding, measuring out rows, etc
Seedling transplanting
Weekly watering
Weeding, deadheading, general maintenance
Working the Beverly Blooms booth at various Farmers Markets (optional)
End of season clean up and putting everything to bed for the Winter
Requirements:
Reliable and committed to the majority of the season (approx. April - October)
Good communication skills
Able to work for several hours in the sun
Available on some weekends
This position is unpaid with the potential to work up to a paid position. Food and drinks will be provided, and you will be able to bring home a bucket of flowers each working session!
